4-star boutique hotel with a view of the Pantheon in Rome

A few meters from the Antico Albergo del Sole al Pantheon we find one of the world's most famous and best preserved monuments of the Roman Empire. The Pantheon was built in 27 BC at the behest of Agrippa, who wanted to build a temple to be dedicated to all the gods. The present form arose between 118 and 125 AD, when Emperor Hadrian ordered radical rebuilding work.

Behind the rectangular facade we find a huge dome, with a larger diameter than that of St. Peter's Basilica. It features 16 granite columns 14 meters high.

One of the Pantheon's special features is the oculus with a diameter of 9 meters present in the center of the dome. A chink that always remains open allowing light to pass through.
